I need you all to start being more dilligent with your ebay searches and to be more consistent in feeding your PAD. You see, I need to stop buying pipes on ebay and the only way I can see to do that is if I can get you all to buy all the pipes that I would be buying instead. I keep seeing all these great deals and it is becoming more and more difficult to restrain myself.
So, if the below listing doesn't go above $30 by tommorow night, I will have been forced to buy yet another pipe. The wife will be very angry with me but I will just have to explain to her that it is all your faults and that the community let me down. I have set a low ceiling of $30 for myself on any and all bids, in order that I may a)not go broke, b)leave enough room that others can still get a great deal and c) leave enough room that I can still get a good deal if nobody else will take the jump.
Now as a disclaimer, I have no idea about the seller and obviously can't vouch for the pipe itself as I have never seen it in person, however it is one of Mike Brisset's pipes and I know that should be enough in and of itself to peak the interest of at least a few of you. I would never ask any of you to bid more than you are comfortable with or more that you can afford, but surely if I can afford $30 for such a nice pipe someone else can afford $31, right?
If I DO end up winning it, I will have to sell off one or two of the pipes and maybe some tobacco leftovers that I already have to make room on my rack and to offset the expense, small though it may be. So please, I am asking that someone bid enough on this pipe so that I don't win it. You just may save a life:
