Burley sour?

I've noticed that as I smoke more Burley it seems to taste sour, sharply so. More vinegary than cirtusy, any thoughts? Not sour like funky pipe either.

I do, but did double duty on my work cobs this week-end, reamed them too. They don't have a tarry odour when theyre sitting unused. They do get a lot of use at work but I change filters daily and swab them with a bristled pipe cleaner. I smoke one for the day and rest the other.

I have noticed some Burleys can tend to become a bit bitter, but I'm not sure I have noticed a sourness to them. I will pay extra attention next time I some some.

The tobaccos I'm using are Half & Half and SWR. I find the sourness is much higher with the SWR. It may just be I'm smoking too much of them and have a tired palate.

If you have some try mixing in a bit of black cav. Maybe 20%.
