Busted calabash

Hi,
Everyone I am new to the forum, and as luck has it my first question is, "How do I repair a broken Calabash?"
I recently purchased an estate calabash and in the process of trying to clean the air chamber I busticated the stummel(I believe ) just a little north of the radius. My first thought was epoxy, is there another way to repair these or should I just commend it's body to the deep? I would really appreciate advice. Thank You
