Came home with 800 pounds of pork

Took 7 hogs to butcher as its to hot to butcher them on the farm. Came back with 800 pounds of ham links roasts and much much more, now im smokeing all tge bones for the dogs on my 2nd day of a slow cool smoke.

4 or 5 freezers full. Id sell some on here if i had a way to ship it. One 26 cu foot freezer full and like 3 standup freezers.

Good to hear you had them done by a butcher. Hate to see what would have happened otherwise!

Better hit those markets! Lots of good revenue in those freezers! Sounds like a great harvest!

Inwill be doing some this winter my self but just to hot to do it on the farm now. In dec and jan i can do my own. Markets yes ill get it sold just hopeing i can sell it with out markets.

Good to see you won't be hogging all the meat for yourself Arky. Wise move going to the Butcher too. Nothing worse than a ham fisted attempt that makes a pig's ear of it. Great thread though mate, hard to get boared reading this one, especially with the twist in the tale.

Lol now im rendering lard for cookimg for the year lol in the winter i have time to break the hog down and its cold. Out side is a big freezer so i dont have to rush.
