Can you recognize this symbol??

Hi,
Sort of an old newbie. Started smoking pipes at 11 years old. Just getting back at 70 years old. Bought a pigskin covered MEERSCHAUM LINED pipe on e-bay. Don't really know what I'm doing but the price was right. Other than pigskin and meerschaum imprinted on the leather, the only marking is a horses head on the stem. Does anyone know who made this pipe. Also any comments on pigskin covered pipes, except I was stupid to buy it, though it may be true Doc



I think the first suggestion is correct, used DERBY as clue, went to this site to confirm http://www.pipephil.eu/logos/en/logo-d2.html

But the pipe itself is not marked DERBY, it may be a knockoff

If it's just the head rather than the whole horse, it's probably a Derby. I don't know much about them, just that they made a lot of leather-clads.
