I recently acquired a Castello estate, shape #55. This is my 2nd Castello with a Sea Rock rustication but it is stamped " Castello Old Antiquari " I believe all recent Antiquaries have a sandblast finish. Can anyone tell me when Castello changed from Sea Rock rustication to Sandblast finish on their Old Antiquari pipes?

Nice pipe. The rusticated (Sea Rock) pipes that have the fumed style, darkened top finish are stamped Old Antiquari. Why would they use the same name for two different styles of pipes? I don't know. This style of Old Antiquari may have been made only for the US market.

Great looking pipe. Presently trying to decide whether to buy this particular shape from Castello or have one carved. Don't know exactly why but I love this shape.
