Chicago Pipe Show - 2023 info

Link to the show flyer. Be sure to check the website for more info, or call their contact number about events at the show. Reservations to count for the club totals must be done by a certain date. Read all the info. Go and have fun. Friday Welcome dinner, Saturday Cigar dinner, Pipe Carving Class, Tobacco Blending Class, many other forums and discussions. Swap and Smoke on Friday ahead of the main show on Saturday and Sunday. I'll sticky the thread for a time as I have done in the past.

Am I going? I have nothing on my April calendar yet. I just do not know. We will have a newborn in the family and maybe having to ensure that the XYL.....um...that's ham radio speak for the wife, gets her baby fix. I am also saving my pennies for a class I am taking this spring. So I do not know yet.

I see info that the pipe making seminar has a 101 and a 201. The 201 is only open to those who took the 101 class in 2022. Be sure to call early about that. Classes held on Thursday and Friday with a surprise afterwards on Friday. No clue what that will be.

Reservations for the classes will be taken soon. Maybe next week, but call and check. Sooner? Could fill up fast.

I'll be there for the dinner on Friday night and the pipe show on Saturday. I'd love to meet any BoBs who are going to be there. I'll take pictures anyway.

What pipes do you bring along to a pipe show? They'll be with me all the time as I'm not checking bags. I dunno.

The Swap & Smoke on Friday morning is a great event, if you can make it.

Pipes, take whatever you are comfortable with. Just in case something happens, it's best if they are not your best pipes. I never let that stop me.

I cannot make the show this year. I am prepping for a gunstock carving class coming up soon and spending far too much money on new tools.
