Don't know what this guy does to a stock MM to give it a certain je ne sais quoi, but some of his modifications really appeal to me. Yes, I've bought several of these over the years. The finish on the ones I like look like some sort of dark varnish, but the pipes don't seem "sealed," as far as being breathable goes. The one below is representative. To me, they just look more finished than the stock production. And they're way cheaper than a Santia. (No affiliation with this guy, just thought it was interesting enough to post on these hallowed pages.)
