hey guys i recently aquired a lot of unsmoked grabow corn cobs. They are in great shape still on the grabow board and everything but in many of the bowls there a big globs of glue. How can if fix it? I did some research and it suggested i cut out the globs with a knife which would be kind of tough to find a knife small enough. Also the idea of smoking glue and not getting high is very unappealing. Especially considering these are old pipes i'm wondering how toxic the glue is and whether its safe to smoke these. Is this normal and how the cobs came back then or is it a side effect of the age and overtime the glue somehow leaked  into the bowl? Any advice for me?

Not an unusual issue. It really shouldn't be much of a concern. The glue used is non toxic. Should be just Elmers glue. As far as cutting it out try a hobby knife like Exacto or a disposable scalpel from a vet supply.

Yeah, it is basically the same stuff we ate in kindergarten. Smoke them without fear.

thanks huff and dg, i appreciate the info. still find inhaling glue fumes a bit worrying, elmer;s or not :bounce:

I can send you a disposable scalpel if you're that worried about smoking the glue. It should be able to get at just about any spot in a standard cob.
