Coffee Break Pipes

I wonder if any of you men have a favorite small pipe that you use for
those 10-15 minute coffee break smokes,or do you just fill a regular sized
pipe halfway?
I have a few small meers that I use which are just the right size and I
load them in the morning and just whip them out of the case for break.

I had a tiny basket pipe I intended to use for that purpose, but my one try was a lousy experience--now I just smoke a half bowl. Although, I've had some pretty pleasant smokes from the tiny "taster" size MM cobs.

(Looks like the President is playing the Alphorn. He should be wearing Leiderhosen and the little Tyrolean hat with the feather.)

I have a Vauen Pipoo smooth briar pipe (not the colored ones they sell) that you can buy pre-made smoking cartridges (for lack of a better term). They are good for about a ten minute smoke and fit into the pocket nicely. A tube of the pre-made cartridges/fillers are no bigger than a roll of breath mints. I go to a small apple shaped Sav with Prince Albert, pre-packed earlier in the day when I have the time. That brief respite is sometimes the most enjoyed of my many bowls in a day.

I have a few smaller pipes for a short smoke, one clay, two corn cobs, and a real nice Peterson 309 from the 40s'....

For a long time my favorite short smoke has been a small Dr. Grabow bent billiard. They're about a group 1 size and fit perfectly in my front pants pocket, plus they can be found at CVS and Wal-Mart.

I have a little Moretti which is about a 1 1/2" bowl, less than 40 grams, about 3/4ths of the bowl is straight grain. Really nice little thing. Even still, at work I don't fill it up. I'm still outside on a bench for a good 45 minutes or so, and not done.

Gets me back to the place I want to be however.

I have a nice little Pete Deluxe in a 221 shape. The smallest pipe, by far, that I own. It will just barely hold about half a coin of Escudo. Small, light, delivers a cool dry smoke, and always satisfies.

I have a Dunhill group 3 style 56 that is good for about 20 minutes.

I've got full size bent apple in my truck that I stuff full with cherry cavendish and take a few puffs from it now and then throughout the day (lunch, breaks, driving, etc). A bowl lasts one or two days.

If I only have 20 min. I go ahead and pack whatever I have handy full, smoke what I can till breaks over then next break or at the end of the day I pick it up and finish it.
