So last month (Fubruary) we had a new member from Israel (welcome, of course). THIS month (March) we seem to have hit the motherlode...with well over 30 new members thus far and with home base being from several fairly exotic locations (to most of us anyway)...aside from Canada (semi-exotic) being home to several, we have a new guy from the Ukraine (OK, the Ukraine qualifies as A-No.1 Exotic) and even someone from Idaho (gasp!). WOW! Talk about exotic!

Not that I've kept tabs on this, but it seems like the mid-thirties is a whole lot of new membership for a month! I just going to venture a wild guess and say that I think this is likely due to the large number of posts that members are making. If a guy either close by or on the other side of the world has an interest is something related to pipes and does a search on that topic or question or whatever...BINGO...up pops BoB as a source for a word match...they go there and see the site perhaps for the first time, like what they see, and the result is a new member. So the more topics, the wider they range in theme and the more response there is... the greater the liklihood of someone connecting.

The point is - to all you new members especially - don't just sit around and look at the posts...join in and take an active part. It's WAY more fun that way.

And of course...a hearty welcome to you all!

Could you guys imagine what this Forum would be like today if Kyle didn't post as much? :lol!:
He has an uncanny ability of making things fun and interesting, as well as several other regulars. Not picking on Kyle, just using him as an example.

Just having fun, Brothers. Seriously though - Great job! Let's all make the newcomers welcome and continue to grow the Brotherhood.

P.S. - to all newcomers to the Brotherhood. Don't mind my Avatar, i'm really an alright guy. Trust Me!

Thanks for the welcome.
I've been lurking for sometime but figured I'd use your post to come our and say Hi.

(2nd post baptism)

Yes Brothers, I have land'd here this very spot due to my frequent googlings upsuch esoteric queries as "please search engine, direct me to a reliable source of info regarding the unknown to me art of de-ghosting heavyduty aroghosts thus pleasantly expelling this sour note in the precision of exorcism required for this beastly foul briar-dragon" etc & etc

- and as the searchings increased, I found most refined presence here nin this very hallow'd place, a place where the warmth is as reassuring as the pipe in my hand, it is here where I did find a wide breadth of soulful souls which enrich this particular non-place as the place to be.

There are other forums of course, but I must duly offer thanks for your endeavor of grace, offering the refined stylings of many different stripes in an unison of enthusiasm -

- for real, y'all got the boogie juice goodiest !

So, thanks for being here as a brotherly beacon to those yet unknown wayward pipemen on their journey to know what's what.

Mr. Lowercase - I see you are blessed with the Gift of Gab. (Not a bad thing, mind you) You and Kyle are going to have a Blast! Oh yeah, and once Yak gets on a roll - watch out!

You know, this is the only forum that I have ever really participated in, I check in every day and always search here first if a question comes to mind.

A great online community for a great hobby populated by great people.

Way to be original... quoting a Boston song... sheesh...

Hey, I moved from Scotland to Idaho. Let me tell you, this place is pretty exotic. It hardly ever rains, everyone talks weird, you can't buy Whisky at the same place you get your newspaper and and you have to water your grass!
Madness, I tell you!
