Crabtree Falls

Up this week with luck is Crabtree Falls, site of several Darwin Award winners, the latest a few weeks back. We'll then extend the hike up onto the AT (Appalachian Trail) and go up to Spy Rock. New packs worked out well this weekend, so shouldn't be too much of a strain.

Change of plans last weekend. Crabtree falls was extremely crowded this weekend so we popped up to the fish hatchery and Hiked the AT instead. Owing to a navigational error we ended up finding a great campsite at a place called Porters Gap. There was a rock spring next to the campground and the Katadyn filter worked flawlessly. Not many pictures this time, but here's a few of spy rock.
