Dating a Brigham?

My Dad just gave me his Brigham "three dot - 309" tapered straight apple. He knows he bought it in his University days, but not 100% sure on the year. Is there a way to date this pipe?

Short answer: Probably not.

I'm no Brigham expert, but there are ways of narrowing down a time-frame of when it was made. Earlier models have an aluminum tenon, whereas modern examples are fitted with delrin instead. I don't know exactly when that switch was made.

I'd recommend you aim for a no-pressure, no-expectations sort of thing. Dinner and a movie, you know. Be polite but don't overdo it - she'll see right through you. Confidence is a plus, but don't drift into arrogance. Just be yourself, man.
