Do you think this one would pass a pipe cleaner?
Rob, I think you've got it right. I was thinking the same thing. You'd have to account for the length of the tenon of course in your drawing, but it's most likely drilled just as you have it drawn and it "might-could" (how's that for southern?) still pass. Actually it might. Since the shank is probably all one piece, and drilling curves is quite a task, this is the first thing that came to mind regarding the pipe cleaner passing. I'm sure that there are other ways to do it, but this would be the easiest.
