I have in my rotation a bent billiard marked simply: ENGLISH SECONDS / MADE IN ENGLAND. Does anyone happen to know off-hand what this is a second of? I am of the understanding that 'Irish Seconds' are a Peterson-produced marque, but so far have been able to find any info. on the origin of my English Seconds.

Wally Frank was a wizard. He would buy manufacturers' entire stocks of over
production and/or seconds. Because he would buy in such large quantities, often
coming to the rescue to firms in financial distress, he was able to get the
pipes at extremely low cost and then he was able to sell them through his
stores or his mail-order catalog.
It could be BBB,GBD,Comoys..........only Wally knows.

I think Wally Frank had a hand in keeping Castello viable in their early
financial struggles.I read it somewhere but can't remember where. :|
