New research shows bedtime from 10 to 11 p.m. is associated with lower risk of developing heart disease.

An analysis of data from more than 88,000 adults tracked for around six years revealed a 12 percent greater risk among those who dropped off from 11 to 11:59 p.m. and a 25 percent higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease among people who fell asleep at midnight or later. Falling asleep earlier than 10 p.m. was associated with a 24 percent increase in risk, according to a report published Monday in the European Heart Journal—Digital Health.
 
Increased risk for men only applies if they go to bed prior to 10pm, article needs to be taken with a grain of salt, stress is probably a greater factor.

Someone was just trying to justify their research funding.
 
Here's my theory. Men who go to bed after 11:00 pm are probably going to bed after their wives and girlfriends have been asleep for about an hour. It basically precludes any nookie. That is usually enough to increase the likelihood of all kinds of death.
