She definitely shows Ilsted's influence, especially on the bulldogs. Very nice.
And these don't show up as estates too often.

I fell in love with her work after seeing this one over at Qualiy Briar. I'm a huge fan of small pipes and this one just struck me. Purple stem and all, lol....

There are a number of pipes on this site that are in the $400.00-$500.00 range, i.e affordable, yet are upper-tiered; but most are sold.

It would seem that the site name, "Quality," is justified.

Quality Briar had a few of Manduela's pipes on their table at the Richmond show this year. Her facet work is amazing. I kept on making my way back to her pipes, just studying them, hoping that some of that great craftsmanship would wear off on me. One in particular really caught my eye. It was a nice short bulldog, very streamline, with beautiful facets. The link is down below.

I've been looking at a lot of pipes online and just finished going through all the pipes on Quality Briar.

Those that appeal to me most are the blasted two tones that have either a dominant burgundy or deep dusty brown with burnt orange.

The site says that Rad Davis was a "founding father" of this dual staining, but there are plenty of pipes from different makers who have implemented it, North American and European.

From the point of view of design, Paolo Becker is my favorite.
