I've had a sick day! So I've spent all day trying different pieces on scraps of paper. I'm not to sure about what to do, seeing as this is my first pipe. I'm hoping to go with something pretty basic my first time in the game. Suggestions from experience are completely welcome

Well, there's pipe carvers here, but largely it isn't a forum where too much procedural pipe-carving is discussed. There's always pipemakersforum.com, but those guys are danged serious, and might overwhelm your thoughts and efforts on how to approach, Trev.

What tools do you have? You'll be sanding and filing for the next ten years if that's all you're gonna use. :lol:

I like that one Kyle. Did you leave it "natural" ie, unfinished ? Looks good with that color in the bit ! Nice, nice job

Yep, didn't color it at all. I'm letting the smoke do that work...it's turned a stained-cedar red since this picture.

Sounds nice, Give it a few more years, then put some wax on that puppy and I'll bet it will really look nice !
