I have been lurking for quite some time and finally making a post.
I just made a purchase of a Davorin Morta pipe directly from him in Croatia. Very pleasent guy and am thrilled with the pipe. The wood is very pouous and during the break-in, it got pretty warm (even with a cool smoking tobacco) until I developed a bit if carbon in the bowl.

Yep. That's him. You can see the same image that I posted on his web site and the pipe that he sent was that exact one.

Davorin is a GREAT guy and makes downright beautiful pipes. I've talked a bit with him via email. Way to burst into the BoB scene here, I might add! :cheers:

Awesome pipe!
On heat, if the bowl is uncomfortably hot too touch, you're smoking too fast. Let it cool, relight, then slow down a bit. You probably know this anyway.
