Hey all, Pipe smoking (approx. 1 year) and forum noob. I'm in podunk Arizona with no access to a decent smoke shop unless I drive 60 miles. So I am looking for a place to gain knowledge and wisdom about my new hobby.

Seriously, I can't think of a better place to spend time for a noob, especially in a culture that's gone from pipe smoking ubiquity to its being an oddity, therefore making knowledge of the hobby a bit hard to come by.  Welcome.

Welcome. If you'd really like to jump into the wide world of pipes and tobacco. come to one of the many pipe shows this year. Chicago is the biggest, its in May. Las Vegas is a lot closer but that show is not until October (or November?).

Welcome! Read a lot and lurk through posts. Lots of great (and silly) advice here. Still need to use your common sense, but most all people here are very reasonable folk despite their gruff exteriors.
