Fourth NEW pipe in over 25 years !

This will be the fourth new pipe I've bought since I stopped buying pipes around 1987. I bought a 999 Rosslare Pete last year new and have really liked it's sort of "old school" look with the smooth red/golden smooth briar and the faux amber acrylic stem that when i saw this one I just got up for sale I checked my "extra" moneys and decided to get it ! It has that turn of the century look you see in many of the older Pete's from the late 19th century that were full bents with the amber stem. It's a Peterson Rosslare 02 and is one of the XL sized ones and I got it in the mail yesterday and am smoking it's first bowl of st. va in it as I'm typing. It's only my third full-bent pipe and feels VERY good hanging in my mouth as I type! If it "breaks in" as my 999 has, this will be a go-to pipe I'm sure! I really did not need another pipe but I sure wanted this one

Thanks. To get an "old" one, I'd have to get one with the real amber stem and that would have cost more :lol: Besides, at my age, why not

Hear, hear. That Red 80S Killarney my family helped me get is pretty special to me. It's gonna be a while until the "why nots" come again. They will, eventually...but I'm held over pretty good for now.
