Hi there,

I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I've smoked a pipe for about 8 years now, started with cigars but found a pipe more handy at sea (navy) and have stuck with the briar ever since.

Being in Australia these days means it can be tough to get some of the more obscure blends, but I love trying any new tobacco I can get (I prefer the English-type rather than aromatic) and exploring this great and pleasurable pastime.

Does being in the Navy mean that you can smoke above deck, in the wind? I am not happy when I try to smoke outside; the smoke is pulled from my mouth and taste goes way down.

Welcome To BoB! I got to take my wife out your way for a whirlwind vacation several years back. We visited Uluru, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Sydney Opera House...all in one week. Beautiful country you've got there!
