I say old chap that's splendid news, though I must say I'm a little surprised, but happy to fly the flag for your friends across the pond.

I figured it's only polite to say a few words about myself and how I came to be part of the fold.

Some of my earliest memories are of grandad, affectionately known as 'Pa', smoking a range of different pipes and the comforting effect that the smoke had even though I was still wearing shorts and had plasters on my knees. Apart from an occaisional cigar (2 or 3 a year) I've never smoked. However, when one of the chaps at work turned up with a pipe it immediately took me back to those heady days with Pa sat on Dartmoor taking in the views. I decided to invest in my first pipe (a Parker, which I'm led to believe was intended to be a Dunhill but didn't quite make the grade) and have started to dabble in aromatics. My Parker is now nicely caked and perhaps once a week I enjoy taking a moment to kick back and ponder the world from the pleasant end of the briar. I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience but realise that the occaision would be enhanced by being joined by some similar minded fellows to share the experience with. Enter the BoB...

Hello, hello! You don’t have to ask the brothers to join. We are a friendly lot.

Welcome, we will do what we can to help you enjoy smoking a pipe and turn you into a collector/aficionado of some fine tobaccos. :D

Welcome! We are all on the quest to find that perfect smoke. Some have found theirs, and others, like me, are still looking. People are more than glad to give you theri opinions here  :p :p However, we are usually a gentlemanly (and gentle-lady) lot here. Im not sure what is available in your area of the world, but if you can get bulk from 4noggins, they have some wonderful aromatics to start off with. Killingtons and Lord Methley, to name a couple that I enjoy. May you have many days of pleasant smokes.

Howdy Ya'll !! It's a bunch of "wild ones" here so grab ahold and hang on as it can get crazy at times, but always with a BIG SMILE     BTW, just get some Royal Yacht and you won't have to waste your $$s ( I don't have a Pound sign on my 'puter   )

The door's wide open.  Welcome to BoB!
The perfect smoke, however, is on the tongue of the beholder.  ;)

Thanks for your words Klutz. I'll ask mr Google if he knows where I can find some 4 noggins in Blighty.

Welcome to BoB Mr, Blighty.

I've enjoyed your fair country on a number of occasions and have a few mates there that are like brothers.

Where do you make your home?

Cheers,

RR

Good evening Sir,

I'm lucky enough to call Devonshire my home. A land of mystery and legend, and the inspiration for such stories as Hound of the Baskervilles.

Where are your friends from Mr Brewdude?
