So tonight... I am extremely bored and nostalgic . My house smells of tobacco and wood stove which always places me at peace, but tonight it is missing something... I'm currently filling that scent void with Irish soda bread from scratch like Grandma used to make... will post pics and copy of recipe if any are interested.

Ahhh...sounds good. The aroma of any fresh baked breads. Hey, just leave out the raisins! I find baking home made biscuits soothes ones soul.

Alex, I posted this a few weeks ago. Light and airy spoon biscuits I made when I had the house to myself. Looking forward to seeing a picture of your soda bread. The Irish prefer it with loads of raisins. There is a loooooooong story why I no loner eat raisins!
PS, the story has to do with roaches!

The Soda Bread sounds good. It must be the night for baking. My wife has a couple of loafs of pumpkin bread in the oven. It smells amazing!

ENJOY!!

Arky, I double sift self-rising baking flour. Add proper amount of baking soda. Mix but don't overwork the dough is the trick. I always add a pinch of salt.

honestly its only 3 ingredients i love them with honey and cinnamon

2cups organic  flour
3/4 water and salt to taste
2 table spoons olive oil if you want more chewy
