I thought maybe it would be the polite thing to introduce myself, something I rarely do on forums.

I have been smoking a pipe for over 30 yrs. (off-and-on) but just got serious about it this past July.

I, like many other pipe smokers decided to make pipes and am quite happy with the results though I would never try to sell any. It is just a hobby for now, and a fun one at that. I know that I have an enormous amount to learn.

I tend towards Cavendish blends and right now my favorite pipe is a Grant Batson gem with another (a Razorback) on the way. I have about a twenty pipe collection but now only smoke Grant's pipe and my own.

I would love to join the Kansas City Pipe Club but they meet on nights I work so I have decided to converse about all things pipe related on pipe forums. I know that I have a lot to learn about smoking and making pipes and hopefully will have something to offer in the future.
