Hello BoB community,
I am a new piper from Montreal, QC. I am very excited to begin my journey into pipe tobacco. I have been given a few pipes from my girlfriend's grandfather. 2 of them in good condition (an old Peterson System and a Dunhill), and the rest in pretty beat up shape. I guess my first question to the community would be if anyone has any good resources for heavy restauration. I'm talking tooth holes on the bit and an oxidized shank. In any case, I will likely buy a few new pipes for myself (i'm guessing everyone can relate to the feeling of buying something for yourself for the first time). Any advice on a first pipe? I have read up already on pipes in general so I know the basics, but if anyone has some personal experience that would always be appreciated.
Best regards and hello to everyone!
