Hey Y'all, I am just getting into the hobby. I have been a cigar man for a good while and have always wondered about pipes.
so about 2 weeks ago I picked up a cheap cob pipe and a few pouches of drug store tobacco. They really did not do it for me as I prefer med-full cigars. but I did enjoy the filling and smoking. So I checked out some reviews and will be placing an order for a couple briars and some tobacco to try out.
Looking at Mac Baren HH Old Darke Fired and Dunhill Nightcap and seen many like Dunhill 965 so I will probably try it as well.

Looking forward to breaking in a pipe or two sampling tobaccos...

Welcome!
I'm a Nightcap fanatic myself.
Can't get enough of the stuff.

HH Dark Fired was the one that did it for me. i was thinking that no pipe tobaccos could be as full and tasty as a cigar, and then... well you'll see. welcome to the forums, and to a great hobby!

Welcome.
There's some cigar leaf blends that you may enjoy.

Welcome! I lived in Atlanta for 7.5 years, the last in 1995. I hear it's gotten even bigger and busier.

Welcome to BoB and welcome to the world of pipe!

If I may be so bold to suggest some other tobacco to try? I personally enjoy McClelland Frog Morton and Dunhill Royal Yacht. Both tobaccos have a decent nic-kick and are full in flavor while still being a smooth smoke.

Thanks Y'all.
I will give those blends a try. I am excited about trying as many blends as I can similar to when I first started smoking cigars. While I still enjoy cigars, smoking a pipe seems to be more interesting.
