Hello All,

New to BoB. Fairly new to the pipe. I enjoy various blends. Looking foward to learning more about this hobby.

Dave

Good evening Dave and welcome to the forum. You'll be amongst a fine gathering of gents on here (myself excluded, ahem) and a few lovely ladies too. Looking forward to sharing a few bowls...

I used to go to Temple-Inland in Maysville.. Are those little truck stops still up there on the east side of town?

puros_Bran.......There are a couple open on Hwy 9 (AA Hwy). Temple-Inland now owned by International Paper. Maysville still pretty much the same little town.

I remember when they built the AA. Lol. I think I'm old. When it opened end to end it made the Cummins run from NC to Indiana nice.

Welcome aboard from another Kentuckian! I'm in NKY, about 20 min south of Cinci. I'm an Indiana transplant though, don't hold it against me! :p

Welcome Dave, glad to have you join us. Lots of knowledgeable folks here, happy to share what they know...or suspect...or heard about...or have always felt should be true :lol!:
Seriously though, I know I have learned a ton here by reading past post and asking question. Great bunch to be apart of.

Thanks again to all for the welcome. Been working out of town for severl days and not able to get online. :pirate:

puros_bran, it is hard to believe that the AA hwy is over twenty years old. Seems like yesterday that it just opened up for easier travel through our area.

I think the original design was calling for a four laner from end to end, but I heard tale that a Govenor in the 80's took half of the money pot and applied it to a similar type roadway that thier name ended up on after the completion of that roadway. That's what I remember some politicians complaining and crying about.
