Welcome to the group! I smoke mainly cobs, my favorites are the Apple Diplomat, Washington Rob Roy and Missouri Pride. I prefer the bent versions but dislike the stem bend that Missouri Meerschaum does so I buy straight amber Danish stems and bend them to my preferences.

Thank you! My first pipe was a Meerschaum with a bent pipe and I must say I am not enjoying it too much. I try to read or fish with the pipe in my mouth but something about the bend makes it difficult to hold there, I'll have to try some of those other stems I appreciate that.

Welcome to BoB! Maybe try one of those short straight anse Missouri Meerchaums. Takes a while to learn to clench without destroying a stem, practice when you are chilling in a chair and can reposition without interrupting your activity.

Best bunch of people on the internet right here, kind hearted and will always lead you in the right direction!

Welcome! Pull up a chair and set a while. Cobs are great pipes, you will be in good company here.

Welcome from Southeastern Pennsylvania. My favorite shape is a medium size billiard. Love the classic British design. I mainly smoke burleys, 1940s to the 1960s style American blends. Lately I haven't been able to smoke too often during the week because of my job so on the weekends I've been spending my smoking sessions divided between Codger blends and strong Lakelands along with blends that contain dark fired Kentucky. I went from have a pipe in my mouth most of the day with Prince Albert in the bowl to weekends with Gawith Hoggarth Coniston Cut Plug and Samuel Gawith 1792 Flake.

I wish I had more time to smoke but i'm swamped too. Thanks for the recommendations, I enjoy burleys and I've tried some good cavendish as well. When I'm free, I'll have to check out those blends you recommended thank you.
