Nice to find this site. Been smoking pipes and the occasional cigar for about ten years. I enjoy about two dozen pipes - mostly Savinellis and Bjarnes (RIP) and a Stanwell or two, and the most beautiful pipe cabinet my wife made as a gift for my 50th last year. I enjoy a mix of the infrequent aromatic with the Frog, other McClellands and Dunhills. Thanks for the site and I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say about our great activity. If only more men smoked pipes, the world would be a much more pleasant and gentler place.

I'm relatively new here too, and from the 'Burgh. Where do you shop locally (if you do)?

I shop at Allegheny Smokeworks in Blawnox, on Freeport Rd. A terrific shop and the Pittsburgh Pipe Club meets there the second Saturday of every month. Check in with Tim Haggerty on this site - he's got the info. Hope this helps.

Cool. Yes, I know Tim (at least in the cyber-sense). One day I might actually make it over to that side of town.
