Hi there!
My name is Andrew and I've been smoking the pipe since this summer when I bought a cob on a whim.
Since then I've developed a strong lust for VA/Perique blends.
When I first started I bought this pipe and smoked a few different things out of it, and it has since become my latakia pipe. It is an estate Stanwell and I think it may be from the 70's. Problem is I seldom reach for the English blends anymore, so I am going to take the booze to it tonight and turn it over a 'new leaf' as a virginia pipe with maybe some perique work (pun intended btw). I have included a close-up of the grain, as I think it is quite something.
And this here pipe is my pride and joy. It is a Peterson Kinsale straight bulldog with a p-lip that my girlfriend bought me for my birthday. At first I wasn't sure about the p-lip but it has really grown on me and I would consider buying another. This pipe eats up perique like there's no tomorrow, and looks damn good doing it.
I also along the way bought this midrange generic meerschaum, it's ok but doesn't do it for me like a nice briar.
Anyway, nice to meet you all!
