I recently picked up two pairs of old pipes: a Comoy Monogram, a Comoy Golden Matt, a GBD Conquest New Standard, and another GBD without a model name (but an F on the underside of the shank). I cleaned them but I suspect they were all pretty heavily used and/or buffed in their day, so some of the stamping is pretty faded, especially on the stems. I'm not too up on either brand and wondered if any experts out there might be able to help me get a rough idea of their age from the pics in this photo album Thanks so much in advance!

Comoy's Monogram - stamped "C", so made after 1981

Comoy's Golden Matt - drilled "C", so made before 1981. I think the Golden Matt was introduced in the mid 70's

GBD London Made - stamped GBD on the stem, so made after 1981

GBD New Standard - metal rondell, so made before 1981

GBD Conquest - I can't see the rondell, but with "London, England" COM, I assume it does have a rondell and so made before 1981. "Conquest" means an oversize pipe. (Collector, Conquest and Colossus were the three oversize designations)

Thanks for all the info, this is very helpful! I’ll probably only keep one or two of ‘em, and like being able to tell folks what they’re getting. Love the shape on this New Standard so reckon it’ll be the first GBD to join my rack.
