Short time lurker, long time puffer. I'm barely out of my twenties, work for Uncle Sam and love the occasional bowl.
I've been bitten by the make my own pipe bug and it's high time as my bent Eriksen and Grabows are becoming too wet and I'm not enjoying them as much as my straight cheapo corncob pipe...
In the run-up to crafting my own pipe I hope to score a dunhill shell briar billiard or apple at some magic estate sale or the bay and refurb it to its former glory. Lots of good info here on that and I hope to learn more. I'm a big fan of the esthetics of these two particular types because of the clean, utilitarian lines.
