Hey everyone - FNG here. Next week marks the my 1 year anniv of smoking a pipe, have never smoked anything before. I beg your forgiveness in advance for all the dumb questions I'll eventually ask. Finally, I'm an unapologetic Aro smoker. :affraid: I've tried the other stuff on multiple occasions and my taste buds just don't like the purse English or Virginias. I live in Seattle and am a member of the awesome Seattle Pipe Club. Cheers.

Meant to welcome you before, but here is my belated post.

I'm a SPC member as well. Originally joined back around '01 or so, attended a lot of meetings/events at the old and much lamented Issy T-Box, and somehow let my membership lapse when the T-box closed.

Got away from pipes and more into cigars for almost 10 yrs!

That also turned around 180 a few yrs ago, and am now back to the pipe with a passion. Once I found BoB (with the aid of our own BH) there was no looking back!

Anyhoo, SPC is a way great club. Sadly, my work schedule does not permit me to attend the monthly meetings. Pity, that. It is what it is....

Always good to see a local (more or less) guy though.

Ha ha. Yep. I am unapologetic about it though. I have given it the ol college try to like others but I like what I like. I also dont like Italian food. So sue me!!

Hey RR - it would be great if you can make it out some night. Our Nov SPC club was the slow smoke contest. I suppose to an outside it would be like watching paint dry but not to a painter. It was my first time seeing such a thing and I quite enjoyed watching everyone's technique. I'm still trying to learn. Next Tues marks my 1 year pipe smoking anniv.
