Seems to me the dublin shape gets little discussion. One of the classic shapes, and in it's classic form nice enough, but it is also a jumping off point for some of the coolest pipes you'll see. I personally like the larger freehand expressions, but even a simple sandblasted Dunhill very-British-standard dublin is a fine thing to gaze upon. Share some of your favorites if you're so inclined :) (Sadly, none of these are mine :( )

A couple of standard issue Dunhills:

Dunhill Shilling Collector:

Castello Sea Rock:

Castello Old Antiquari:

Castello Great line:

Castello Great Line Fiamata:

And another:

Here's my Pete Sherlock Holmes Mycroft I got back around '01-

Not my exact pipe, and mine's a p-lip, but I love this style.

Cheers,

Only Dublin I have is a paneled meer. I find a blasted like like any of the pictures above though... too tempting.

I love Dublins but haven't found many to add to my collection. I do have a couple of Pete B10s, but a lot of folks call those calabashes. I still lean toward Dublin.

Those Dunhill Dublins look incredible, FYI.

Here is my Tinsky Bent Dublin

And my other one that Smoking pipes called a Dublin also

Here are some of mine.
Early 30's Kaywoodie 7708 small Dublin
late 30's Kaywoodie 5113 large Dublin
Peterson Dublin Millenium

30's Peterson 935
A small Astley's
My favorite bent Dublin from Todd Harris

I love those Dunhill Shilling pipes, grain is always amazing.

I have two Dublins:

Ferndown 3 Star Bark, which is always smoked on Sunday's only, so good timing this year.

James Upshall P-Grade. All of my Upshalls are excellent smokers, but this one is so light, it's the cream of my crop.

Here're my three. Top, a sterling banded Arlington gifted to me by William W, Headrick, the best gun photographer in the world. Next, a Peterson's Galway, and last, a Peterson's Milleneim. My Mycroft is in my avatar; unlike Brewdude's mine has a fishtail, and I'm jealous! It's the only Pete I own that's so equipped. Wish it had a P-lip!

OK, since we seem to be bending the definition of a Dublin a bit in my opinion (not a criticism, just an observation) here's another of mine. This is a house pipe from The Pipe Rack, which was a wonderful pipe shop in town when I was in grad school run by John Ojile and his wife, and fine folks they were, too. No idea who made it. This one has better grain than shows in the photo; it's a favorite, and has been one for almost 40 years...

I get on well with p-lips. In fact this afternoon had a fine bowl of H&H AJ's VaPer in it!

:D
