I'm retired and from East Texas and have been smoking a pipe for roughly a year now but have been off on for about 20. I do love to collect pipes, specially the older ones. My collection is everything from soup to nuts being I love many different type pipes. I hope to get acquainted with many of you and share our common interests.

Welcome my friend, your like me...I like all different kinds of pipes. We look forward to your post :)

Thank you all. This place is new to me so I reckon I'll lurk around awhile till I feel comfortable about posting. Thanks again for the welcoming.

Don't be timid.
Everyone here is friendly.

(except mebbie that Puros Bran guy.)
:lol!:

Thank you, I may appear to be a bit shy now till I get to know my way around.
But once I have the lay of the land you'll all be wondering "Gees, doesn't this guy have a life?"
The answers.....NO!

Don't worry, you'll likely fit right in then! Welcome, and have fun

Thank you all very much again! Did a bus just pull up?
Because it seems you all come in twos one right after the other.

If this keeps up I just might stick around here for awhile

From one retired gent to another, welcome pardner!

By the way, that's a very interesting handle you have. There is a Jewish shoemaker in the Bible with a similar name. There's an r after the initial a, making it Cartaphilus.

Yes sir, Type'o should have been Cartaphilus. The Roman guard that was damned to live forever for what he did. I'll leave it at that because I'm unsure how many will take it.
Tried to change it but it didn't give me the option after already registering it that way.
And thank you sir for the welcoming, I hope to be a common fixture here.
