In the move again

Well they just couldn't leave me be could they. About this time next year I'll be heading out to the great Pacific Northwest, specifically Washington State. The Army can have some foolish plans but moving cross country one year out from retirement just takes the cake. At least I'll be able to enjoy sunny weather and fast tobacco shipping... right? Washington has actually always been on my list of preferred assignments but the timing right now is awful.

After this move, will be looking for a place to retire to. Top of the list right now is somewhere in the great plains area, South Dakota seems pretty inviting.

South Dakota is a nice place but winters can get pretty harsh. If you can find a place in the Black Hills that is close to paradise.

First time when went hunting to South Dakota and Wyoming, it was a nightmare couldn't find but a few trees (as a forester). If you like to fish, hunting, or watch wildlife you will be wild in paradise. Most of the area is prairie grass except the Black Hills area. A lot of monuments and neat things to see. Ranger107 is right about the weather in the winter!

I can relate to your pain!!! Eleven years on active duty; fourteen PCS moves for me (one was a 1-year remote tour). These type moves just make no economic sense!! FTRPLT

Sorry to break it to you but Washington State does not allow tobacco to be shipped into it. Smokingpipes, Pipesandcigars, and others will not ship there. I would find a smaller store willing to not mark their box that they are a tobacconist. Thanks for your service.
