It's a Good Life Finally tracked this story down. I read it as an adolescent, 7th or 8th grade in a book of short stories by multiple authors and it has haunted me ever since. I had mistakenly remembered the author as Ray Bradbury and the little's boy name as Alfred (instead of Anthony) so when Google came along I was unable to find it. I've tried a number of times. Then the other day I was watching a Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode and Bart is modeled after Anthony and turns Homer into a Jack in the Box and they say "It's good Bart did that" etc and was able to track down the story from that. Finally, after about 20 years. It's a Good Life by Jerome Bixby. I find it now to be as creepy and terrifying as I did in 7th grade. It's bugged me for years. Like, 20 years. Anyway, thought I would share it. What do you think?
