I was back in a back bedroom of my house cleaning out some clothes and stuff to give to Catholic Charities here in town and came across a shoe box that had 4 of my missing Edward's pipes as well as 3 un-opened tins of 759 and 2 of S&P's Gentleman's Mixture!! Also found 6 pipe nails, a plaid cloth roll-up pouch w/some VERY DRY 759 in it as well as 8 very yellowed pckages of B.J.Long's cleaners ! Sort of a time warp Christmas
The pipes were as follows:
1x # 708 Pot - about a grp5 size w/saddle bit
1x #721 Canadian - it's a LONG one just at 7 1/2" !
2x #730 Coachman - 1 smooth and the other the "tanshell" blast they made back in the late 70's
Here's a pic of the Coachman shape (not mine) which were some GREAT smoking machines as I recall. ( I'm smoking the "tanshell" blast one as I type)
All of 'em are partially oxidized and I'll need to do some polish to them but all are ready to smoke "out of the box" so to speak right now
All the tins seem to be fine, no rust or such and still feel sealed. We'll find out when I open 'em Now I'm up to 90 pipes so I guess I'll have to go for 100 before I die
