I was going through my studio and found a big brick of C&D Night Train which had fallen behind the shelves. It looks only to be a couple ounces short of a pound. I have no idea how long it's been there, but I'm pretty happy right now. 8) 8)

I am going to slice up some night train this afternoon when I get home, will be the first time I try it. What should I look for? how do you prepare it?

You look behind a shelf and find nice tobacco. I look and find a mismatched sock. Something unfair here.

That is awesome 'E', congrat's Buddy, me, all I ever find behind things is ghastly spiders!!!!

I just rub it out until the texture feels "right". Feel and moisture content. Too hard to explain, but you'll get the technique soon enough. It ain't rocket science.

On of my faves btw!

Cheers,

^This.

It's a very crumbly pressed tobacco. I just cut off a little and break it up. You can just gravity feed it into the bowl and you're in buisness.

Ken and Mike: Why dont one of you send the other your mismatched socks? You'll be sure to come up with a pair or two... :lol!:

It was a very enjoyable smoke, I think I may have to find some more

Have you tried looking behind the shelves in your studio??

Socks, matched or unmatched, are here the source of merriment, but they shall never be so for me. In my mind the Boxer Rebellion will never have the historical purport of the Sock Massacre at Smelly Toe Creek. Way back when my grandpa would put me on his knee and tell me that grand story.

Seems that in his day, due to the sock statutes, it was illegal to transport pipe tobacco in one's socks. They made their last stand at STC. Many a foot was lost.

Don't listen to him, Alfredo. This is from a man who carries on conversations with his socks and takes their advice.

Wearing your ropers that shouldn't be a worry. Who's to know?
MY SOCKS
BTW, heavy Balkans in the mix? Many think some version of those start out life stored in smelly socks. At least spouses seem to believe that.

Sadly, that's a problem. Politically, he thinks I am a heel. And I think he needs to toe the mark. You can see the problem our socks would have. Hard to match red and blue socks.
