Just retired...

Ok, I pulled the trigger and am now a social security insurance recipient - I'm jobless, too. Someone please enlighten me, I often wake up and have this feeling of being in Entropy. Is this a common malady of the recently retired?

I remember looking out the window at school failing most subjects thinking "I cant wait till i leave and get a job"
When I got a job over the years always thought "i cant wait till I don't have to work or retire"
Today I tried a cheap beard oil I bought online and didn't like it and thought "ohh well Ill just use it up"
Then I thought F$%* it!! life is to short for that so I pored it down the sink!!
Enjoy it mate you deserve it!!

Congrats on retiring. I was soooo close, like about to submit the paperwork to retire, and then got a promotion which came with a three year service obligation. So three more years of the work life for me.

You gotta find something to do, something you enjoy to keep the wheels turning.

I retired in November of last year. I haven't experienced anything I would describe as "entropy", but more like decompessing, followed by reorienting life in the direction of what I feel God would have me doing in what years I have left. I understand that may or may not resonate with you depending on your beliefs. Best wishes to you in your retirement!
