Was really impressed, i don't like latakia partically but this turned me, not overpowered smoky, sweet, cocoa; had a little of everything. Smoked great all the way down down to the bottom no dottle. Is there any similar tobaccos i really liked the cocoa topping.

I love this blend too! The Lat is very subdued so I don´t really notice it that much. Only once in a while I´ll get a taste of it.

Samuel Gawith has a similar Chocolate Flake. To me it's a stronger blend with a touch more chocolate flavor.

You might also try MacBaren Honey & Chocolate. This one is an aromatic and has no latakia. Smells like a Hershey factory when opening the tin - but the flavor is more subdued while smoking. Gotta sip it very slow too or it will bite.

Still prefer Bob's CF over both of these.

That is all.......

This was one of the first blends I tried and really enjoyed it. On top of the chocolate I pick up the subtle floral nuance. Some folks say soapy, floral to me. I keep a large jar on hand.

I get that alot from SG and H&G blends. When I first tried these "lakeland" baccys I was on the fence, but ultimately I've come to find the flavor off putting, so they never did grow on me.

I do have some SG Chocolate Flake which I get in the mood for occasionally, and I must admit it is one of the best meldings of latakia with other baccys I've had. The lat supports the overall flavor without overwhelming it, and the chocolate is very suble, but adds a nice touch.

Bob's Choc Flake is my favorite blend of all time. I'm not a big lat fan, necessarily, but I find it very subdued here. SG's version is a notch below, in my opinion, but it's in my rotation as well. Enjoy.

I really do need to give this one a shot... Like some have said, I'm not a big Latakia fan. But it seems like you can actually taste everything else in this one, which is my biggest problem with most lat blends... The lat flavor overpowers all the wonderfully subtle VA and other supporting flavors.

Me too. I like it in a MM.

Had another bowl of Bob's this afternoon and am once again very impressed with it. No noticeable Lakeland character, cocoa seems to be the defining characteristic, very deep and complex. Really need to get some of this in.

My Bob's Chocolate Flake came Monday.

After smoking it at different times the past few days, I think I find it pleasant and different but feel the need for more chocolate.

I think I would like try few other chocolates to compare it to, I'll be back then.

Thanks John.

I love BCF!

I get the most flavor out of it letting the flakes dry some before folding and stuffing. Rubbed out, I never get the chocolate flavor or note.
