I've saved up enough funds to rebuild the pipe collection I had (had 14 now only 4) and this is my first purchase since the financial crisis 3 months ago.

I've had my eye on this Vauen (G019) for a WHILE and boy am I a HAPPY CAMPER!!

First. This pipe is MUCH bigger than I anticipated. I have a Peterson XL23 and this pipe is big, but I like it A LOT. It feels great in the hand and hangs well in the mouth. I learned that I prefer bent/sitter pipes in apple/brandy shapes and have no desire for pokers. The stem is acrylic, which I'm ok with since I don't like the taste vulcanite stems leave. The bowl is pre-carbed however and while I've heard it doesn't do much, I will likely remove it (NOT sanding) since Id prefer a more virgin pipe instead of pre-plucked.

My sore throat has, Unfortunately, delayed my gratification to smoke this but considering the size, I may need at least 1.5 hrs.

Next up, my first Boswell pipe.

Very nice bentapple, bentbulldog!
Triangular shank?
curvy, and voluptious all the way, just the way I like my gals.

Quite a looker Bent. Hope the sore throat passes soon, and good luck on your rebuilding efforts.

Looks to be a nice "hanger" and you can never go wrong with a nice crossgrain! I especially lke that inward slant to the rim on a pipe ! Enjoy as soon as you can

Great looking pipe - Congratulations!

Hope you feel better soon brother.
