Hi folks,
I recently picked up a rather rough example of a Dr Plumb Standard 9132 for restoration. It is stamped "Dr Plumb" over "Standard" on the left shank and "Made in France" over "9132" on the right shank. Across the shank at the mortise is stamped "RegN NO 259/55614". The stem is original, with a worn "Plumb" stamp and a red dot that sits above the surface of the stem (I assume the dot has lifted over time?).
I know Dr Plumb is/was a GBD second line, which explains the 9132 shape number. I'm trying to track down the info on the RegN No with a (faint) hope of dating the pipe. Does anyone know where I can find this data? The Googleverse has been less than forthcoming despite my searching.
Thanks in advance.
