Got me this acrylic,"forever stem", from Vermont Freehand.com. May not be mod per se, to me it's a major improvement to the stock, molded plastic, cheap stems found on all, (Except new line of acrylic stemmed MM's), Missouri Meerschaums.I chose the longest stem, with the widest mouthpiece. Made to fit diameter of mortise, (That's a MM general it's attached to)

That is quite nice. I had one with a forever stem but have it to a new smoker who needed a pipe at the time.
