The tobacco in the can blooms with a fragrance like it was soaked in prune juice (to me that's a good thing).The flavor of the smoke, compared side by side with a brand new current production can, is different. The current is the usual H&H, whereas the vintage has a deeper, richer tobacco flavor with no real anise and a slight pepperiness. A relative says the room note of the vintage is definitely the more pleasant of the two.
