I thought we had a howto. But I don't see it.

Go to: Profile, then Avatar, at that point it tells you the size restrictions. I use The Gimp to resize my pics and save them as JPG files at about 85% so the size is also small, but they look reasonably large. You can browse to your file on your computer and upload. There are other options. If you have trouble resizing, you can email it to me and I will email it back to you. I'll do it as fast as I can, but it might be a few hours.

Welcome!

Thanks Carlos - I *thought* I checked everywhere but now I see the link. I should be able to figure it out from here. Gracias.

I'm sure we've all heard this, "there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers."
Although it's really not the question that is dumb, it's the feeling one has when asking a question they feel they should know or being a bit embarrassed to not know something everyone else in a group already knows.
But, most everyone before us has had the same question and probably felt the same way when asking, so join the club of people feeling dumb when asking a question.
Okay, that's all the philosophy you'll get out of me this year.

Well, let me give you a sampling here.  Next Tues marks my 1 year anniv of pipe smoking and I remember distinctly my very first question I asked on a forum.  In fact, it may have been Roth who patiently answered the question while falling off his chair laughing.  My first pipe setup was a Adsorba 217 pipe, a Czech Tool and a little 1Q.  I had no idea how to pack the bowl or light it and the B&M that I bought it from (Tobacco Patch in Kirkland WA) didn't either.  But I managed to get the thing sort of packed and sort of lit without setting myself on fire.  After the smoke while cleaning it out with the tool, I noticed something on the bottom of the bowl.  So I dug it out and it turns out to be a dime.  Being that I bought a new pipe, I assumed that they must all have dimes in them for some reason.  Maybe it was for good luck, maybe it affected the flavor, maybe it was meant as a filter the tobacco in some way. I just didn't know.  So I found a forum, girded my loins and ventured into the unknown.  After much laughing and a little banter, the mystery of the Pipe Dime is still unsolved.

I've had pipes that someone should have paid me to smoke ... not that a dime would have been adequate compensation ...

Yes, I remember that "dime" post, Monte!

That was really strange ... Didn't we end up thinking someone thought the airway in the bowl was too high hence inserted the dime? Just a guess -- no one ever did come up with any explanation that made sense LOL.

Remember in the old days they used to put quarters on the eyes of dead people? They sold you a dead pipe.:lol!:
