Hello everyone!

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I'll try to be concise. I picked up the pipe fairly recently (around a year and a half ago), but I've tried to be pretty adventurous with my tobacco choices. I've got a handful of pipes (mostly Jake Hackert's) in my rotation, and find the technical aspects of this hobby to be most fascinating.

Well, that ought to do for now, I hope that more will become evident as my post-count grows. Thanks again for reading, and I look forward to gleaning/sharing knowledge and info with all of you.

Cheers, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
Tony

Welcome Tony, look forward to your posts. I am a bit envious though, I have been looking into the Hackert pipes, and think they are pure works of art. It will be one of my next purchases after the holidays!

Thanks for the nice reception, everyone!

I will try to get some pics of the Hackerts posted before too long. I really have to pretty them up first! They do smoke quite nicely, and are a great pipe for the money. I live about an hour and a half from Jake, and my buddy Jon and I actually dropped in on him last year and got a tour of his workshop. We ended up buying a few pipes right off of his kitchen table - how cool is that?? He's a fine craftsman and he and his wife are truly good people.

Taz: it's my amateur radio callsign

Carlos: tu fer the post, 73

Thanks again everyone, looking forward to more time on the board.

Tony
