My wife found this beat up "Black Eagle" at a New Orleans flea market and knew that I loved the tapered-stem bulldog shape. The full write-up is at:

It's not perfect by any stretch, but a nice souvenir from our trip and my wife's thoughtfulness.

Very nice job, I love that shape. The shape details and lines on this one look about identical to the Sunrise Amber Grain bulldog I have. Same manufacturer maybe?

Another fantastic restoration Al!

If I had a wife as awesome as yours, I would act right almost every day. ;)

I think the son-in-law probably noticed the shape but she was proud to point out the "Made In London, England" stamp. The shank shows the mark of what might have been a band and I think the stem is a replacement. I had to massage all the stem angles as it was slightly oversize on a couple. Curiously, the stem feels of a good quality, perhaps someone rushed to put it on?
