Ok, So I got my Pete...I've got her down to bare wood... Now what?

A confession... I've only ever had 5 new pipes (not counting Cobs).. 2 have had all kinda stuff ran through them.. 1 is a dedicated Aro pipe, 1 is a Va pipe, and the last has only had Penzance smoked in it...

Trying to decided what to smoke in this badboy.. can't decide so I figured I'd leave it to you guys..(assuming the pipe cooperates).. So which is it?

My vote is somewhat uninformed.
Westminster is the only one of the three that
I've smoked, but it is a favorite English blend.

Puros,
YOu could smoke any of the trhee in the pipe you smoke Penzance. But I went with Yale.

Let me clarify. . When I say I've only ever had 5 'New' Pipes I mean: New as in Unsmoked. I have plenty of pipes... but I prefer to buy estate as it provides better value..

And I lied.. the actual count it 7 'new' pipes.. I forgot some I don't have anymore. Hell no... its 8 I forgot that little Tsuge Jim gifted me..

This is your brain... :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
This is your brain on diesel....  :suspect:
Don't do diesel....

I put my vote in for the Westminster. GLP makes a good, no make that excellent, product.

I agree that GLP makes an outstanding product, but i will add that so does C&D.

I love Stokkebye as well; there is no better value than Stokkebye bulk (English).

Not knowing if this was going to be an in your rotation, everyday smoking pipe with a dedicated blend (how's that for beating around the bush) I voted for the Stokkebye's. Good blend, you can get it in bulk, and it's a little cheaper in the long run. That's not saying that the Westminster and Yale mixtures aren't outstanding blends.

I voted for the Westminster because if I was going to devote a pipe totally to one of the blends it would have to be the GL. Just like the little undertones of Westmister slightly more than the others, not to say that others aren't good tobaccos. In the end I think it's all personal taste and what you like best.

They are all fav's of mine Toss in Ashton Artisans Mix, Odyssey, and Penzance and you have my 5 favorite English blends... (yes I know thats six, I'm from Kentucky)....

Just figured it'd be fun to let you guys decide..

I recieved a can of Yale Pressed, which was the Yale mixture but pressed into cubes like Pirate Kake, and it is one of the best Englishes I have ever had. I bought Yale Mixed in bulk but it doesnt seem to have the same flavor.

I think you have to buy from C&D directly and asked that it be pressed.

PB is the only person I know that gets the blues when he gets a new pipe.

Being a die hard KY fan will do that to a person.

As for the break-in tobacco, I'd vote for C&D's Winchester if it were shown.

And leave it to a NC fan to try to bring in ineligible players....

By looking at your new avatar, I can see you're green with envy. There's no need to be because I'm a long time Georgia Bulldog fan. I bleed red and black!

Yeah but as bad as they suck I figured you'd lie and claim you were an NC fan... :bball:
